Holidays

Thanks to European Court rulings and trade union campaigning, almost everyone at work in the UK has a right to take paid holidays.

Workers are currently entitled to 5.6 weeks' holiday per year. For someone working five days a week, this amounts to 28 days of annual leave. However, employers can count the (normally) eight public and bank holidays towards this total.
